Completed in 2014, the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre stands as one of UGI’s most iconic and record-breaking achievements. The facility features an impressive 81-metre site-formed roof using our signature UNILOK® concealed-fix profile, manufactured in COLORBOND® steel—a milestone that remains one of our longest continuous site-forming projects to date.
Originally known as the Sarawak Aquatic Centre, it was later renamed to honour Pandelela Rinong, Malaysia’s celebrated national diver, in recognition of her outstanding performance at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The architectural vision behind this landmark sports facility was crafted by PDC Design Group, delivering a structure that combines modern design, durability, and world-class performance standards.
